"CQ CQ CQ... This is BA7IVC, calling CQ and standing by."
ヽ(✿゚▽゚)ノ I'm very glad to meet you. Radio communication is a wonderful and romantic thing in itself~
Electromagnetic waves carrying information travel at the speed of light in the air or vacuum, relying on reflection and along the ground to bypass various obstacles that may exist in the journey, and finally reach the destination and establish information communication with each other.
Living in a modern world, most people (including me) may have already become accustomed to everything that the Internet brings. Efficient, stable, convenient, and many other words to praise it. Video calls, emails, instant messaging software, social media, all based on the Internet, it is easy for us to think that the transmission of information is always easy and there may never be obstacles.
However, the application of radio has always been in our daily life and has not disappeared. As you know, radios and campus broadcasts may be older examples; In fact, the Wifi signal emitted by the home router/the signal transmission between our mobile phones and the base station / Communication between earth and space facilities / Various remote control models including drones / etc. are all application fields of radio technology.
Whenever a disaster occurs, the city's power system and Internet system, which we once thought were the most basic and stable systems, are often the most susceptible to being affected and completely paralyzed. At that time, using mobile phones, radio stations, and relays, radio enthusiasts can quickly establish a new information network in the disaster-stricken area to provide assistance for emergency rescue operations.
Of course, we enjoy studying radio technology purely with enthusiasm in peaceful days. For example, how to obtain the best transmission quality under limited conditions, how to use electromagnetic wave signals for geographical coordinate positioning, how to communicate with astronauts on the space station that just crosses the sky above us, how to communicate with HAMs from different countries then exchange both unique awesome QSL cards, etc. All these are also very interesting.
An accidental experience in 2023 made me pay attention to the HAM group and made me interested in radio technology. Then, "Curious about HAM -> understand HAM -> become HAM" ( ੭ ˙ᗜ˙ )੭
Like most HAMs, we have different occupations, living environments, languages and cultures. Radio is just one of the hobbies we share.
In the daily, I work as a software engineer and system architect. In the leisure time, I also enjoy many different things. For example, likes painting, try making props, occasionally play the piano, likes cute things, likes Doraemon, likes video games, can cook a table of delicious meals, etc. (If you are interested anyone, you can click on the previous links; I look forward to us having more of the same hobbies~)
Therefore, in the daily, we all live with our own stories. The hobby of radio brings us together.
(o゜▽゜)o☆ It would be a great joy to be able to contact you again. See you again in the world of atmosphere radio waves, my friends~ VY 73!
